LeadHER | Teaching Framework for boosting ICT literacy and jobs for girls in basic and secondary education is an Erasmus+ KA3 in Policy Experimentation with a digital focus. The project aims to address barriers that prevent girls from pursuing ICT studies and careers, aiming to create a sustainable impact on gender equality in the sector. This includes enhancing girls’ exposure to ICT through tailored pedagogy and resources, fostering their interest, and dismantling stereotypes.
This 1st Transnational Meeting took place on May 28th and 29th, hosted by Know&Can and 93rd “Alexander Teodorov – Balan” Secondary school in the beautiful city of Sofia, bringing together partners from Bulgaria, Finland, Portugal and Spain.
LeadHER is coordinated by INOVA+ and supported by a strong network of partners: AEJE – Agrupamento de Escolas José Estêvão, K&C – Know and Can, 93rd “Alexander Teodorov – Balan” Secondary School, UMAR – União Mulheres Alternativa e Resposta, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science, Centro San Viator, and BIRA – Basque International Research Association.
In this project, BIRA will lead the work on policy design and framework rollout, including activities targeted at designing and influencing policies at local, regional, national and EU levels, to create conditions for structural changes in the way ICT and education and jobs are dealt with, to foster a stronger and more effective female participation. In addition, BIRA will contribute to the research and implementation phases and will host the final transnational meeting, disseminating the project results at the CINTE International Conference.
The meeting laid the foundation for dynamic collaborations and forward-thinking strategies, with gender-responsive education and ICT inclusion as the cornerstone of this innovative initiative. Together, we will work to overcome barriers and promote equality through innovative solutions.
